About Coplay, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Coplay Borough is located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, and it is part of the greater Lehigh Valley region. About 3,400 people call this community home, and the population has shown a slight decline over the last decade. Originally a farming community, the economy of Coplay turned more industrial when the Thomas Iron Company moved to the area.  Historically, this borough has also been a melting pot of a variety of nationalities, including Germans and the Pennsylvania Dutch, and with the growing iron industry immigrants from Hungary, Poland, Austria, and Hungary also moved into the region.

Despite the small size of Coplay, there are a few interesting things to see and do here. One of the most notable features of the community is the Coplay Cement Company Kilns which can be found in Saylor Park. These kilns were listed on the National Register of Historic Places back in 1980, and Saylor Park offers a wealth of outdoor recreational opportunities. Visitors and residents alike may also enjoy a trip to Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays.

Found in the northern boundaries of a humid subtropical climate zone, Coplay experiences a variety of different climate conditions depending on the season. In the winter, conditions are usually cold and snowy, with average high temperatures in January reaching about 36 degrees. A gas or electric furnace is critical during these months, but as the rainy and pleasant spring months begin, most residents are able to go a few months without running any type of climate control system.

In the summer, residents rely on their central air conditioning units, especially because outdoor conditions are usually quite humid. Average daily highs in July reach about 84 degrees, but high humidity will make it feel quite uncomfortable. Fortunately, an HVAC technician can help residents to select the right air conditioner, and with variable speed operations and improved energy efficiency, summer weather has never been more comfortable.
